I’m currently studying Kabbalah as part of a bigger book project and along the way I’ll be putting together a DailyOm.com class which allows students to access the Akashics in order to work with the Tree of Life. Ah, the wild and wacky things I get into in my spare time. LOL
To set the record straight, I’m not Jewish nor do I play one on TV. I have been interested in Biblical scholarship since I was little. The Essenes are fascinating to me and I have a great respect for Judaism and it’s focus on actions rather than belief as its focus. I’ve read contemporary works about Judaism but before now I have not delved to this depth.
Therefore, there are many terms, practices, and concepts that, even in English translation, I don’t recognize. So I turned to the internet, the holder of all knowledge worth searching for and found myself amazed and amused all at the same time. Because one of the first things I found was…..*drumroll*….AskMoses.com! Yep, for all things Judaica, you got the question, they’ve got the answer. And not just the dumbed down version but really clear, detailed answers. Which has been great both for information value and because I smile or laugh every time I use it.
And then I felt that it was important to get a basic understand of the Alephbet (Hebrew Alphabet) because there is so much meaning in the divine language and I should at least be able to recognize the letters! So once again to the internet and what do I find…..*oh yeah*….Judaism 101. Not knocking it because it’s a great resource and I’ll probably use it quite a bit and the name is on point. I’m sure the smiling and the giggling are just my junior high sense of humor.
So that’s what’s going on with me. A little light studying this weekend.
Can’t wait to see what you are up to! This tree of life diagram reminds me of the chakra energy system witht he crown at the apex…might this be where you are heading? Will ponder it while juggling zefrank and askmoses…
