“I don’t care what you believe. Just Believe IT.” – Shepherd Book “Serenity”
It doesn’t matter to me what religion you practice, what spirituality you espouse, what philosophy you are working through. I find them all interesting in one way or another and all of them have wisdom to share. As long as you’re not hurting yourself or others, as long as you are learning and growing and becoming, it’s all good. Here’s the thing though: do believe in something. Even if it’s believing that there is nothing out there. Even if it’s that this is all there is.
Don’t believe it because that’s what you were taught, believe it because it calls to you. Believe it because you’ve searched and this is what you found…or that found you. Believe it because it’s the story that helps you make sense of the world around you and the live you are creating in this moment.
Just remember, what is right for you might not be right for me. Which doesn’t make either of us wrong. It makes us individual and part of the symphony of the All That Is. Because it doesn’t matter whether you believe in the Great Pumpkin or “bringing religiosity to the fuzzy-wuzzies” all ways have their wisdom and the more we share it, the more we are authentic as well as respectful, the world will keep becoming an incrementally better place.
